I started running in 2013 after 20-year gap initially it was just to improve my health I had High blood pressure at the time and High Cholesterol so I bought a cheap pair of running shoes, I download the Nike Running App onto my phone so that I could record all my runs, I started running and enjoying it. It was nice to get out and run around the country lanes in the evening after a hard day @ work my health started to improve and l kind of got addicted. I keep my phone and keys in my flip belt.
I then started to enter a few races and found the buzz was great especially when crossing the finish line, I found that my mood was improving and my self-esteem and my mental health.
It was not long before I needed a new pair of running Shoes, l went to my local running shop jump on the tread mill they advised me what shoes suit my running style which were Asics GT1000 I still run in then now. I also invested in a Garmin running watch.
I decided to join a running club after that to help to improve my running style and all round fitness it was then that I met lots of like-minded people and made some great friends, the social side was good as well I found myself visiting lots of different places round the world while running a race.
I found that running as improved my all round fitness and toned my legs.
