Club Runs

Tuesday is our club run evening and we meet from 7:00pm for a 7.15pm start at The Mote Cricket Club pavilion along Willow Way (next to the squash club) in Maidstone.

As a club we appreciate that people run for many different reasons but whatever your reason for running we provide a safe regular run with good company. There is always a mix of people running at different speeds and various distances (short to long) and pace (slow to fast). We are fortunate to have Mote Park right on our doorstep and make full use of this in the summer. In the winter, it’s generally road running and reflective tops need to be worn. Come along on a Tuesday evening and try us out, you will receive a warm welcome from Mote Runners.

Beginner Sessions

Thursday is our beginners evening, we meet from 6:45pm for a 7.00pm start at the Mote Cricket Club pavilion along Willow Way (next to the squash club) in Maidstone, Kent. Just come along, no registration is required.

The sessions are run as part of the club membership and are aimed at those who really want to start running but perhaps don’t have the confidence or experience to complete our 5k route with us and are looking for a place to start, or if you are returning to running after a break or injury.

Anyone can join at any time throughout the year and will be accommodated at their level without worrying about catching up with courses already in progress. All sessions are led by a fully qualified coach.

Come along and try us out, you get two sessions free thereafter Mote Runners membership is just £20 per year.

0-5K course

New Year 0-5k 12 week course starts on Thursday 16th January 2020 at The Mote Cricket Club 7pm and is supported by a fully qualified coach and volunteers.

The idea behind Couch to 0-5k is that someone who is not used to exercise can start a programme of walking and running, and gradually condition their body in order to build up to being able to run five kilometres.

Couch to 0-5k encourages a slower, more manageable start to exercise. Because it’s broken down into achievable bite-size steps, and you can quickly feel like you’re making progress.

These sessions are also social occasions, and we hope you’ll make new friends and meet ‘running buddies’,

You get two free sessions, there after club membership is just £20 per year and the 0-5k course is free.
